Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your browser when you visit it. They allow websites to remember information between visits — such as your language preference or your consent settings — so you do not have to make the same choices again each time you return.

Cookies can be set by the website itself (first-party cookies) or by external services the website uses (third-party cookies). They can be temporary (session cookies, deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (retained until a fixed expiry date).

2. How we manage your consent

When you visit medi-invest.eu for the first time, a consent banner appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. It lets you accept or decline each category of cookies separately. Necessary cookies are always active — without them, the website cannot function correctly. Analytics cookies are optional and are only loaded after you have given your explicit consent.

We use vanilla-cookieconsent, a self-hosted, open-source consent management solution. Your choice is stored exclusively on your own device (in the cc_cookie cookie) and is never shared with third parties.

You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of the website. Your new choice takes effect immediately.

3. Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the basic functionality of the website. They cannot be disabled. No personal data is processed for marketing or profiling purposes through these cookies.

4. Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website, which pages are visited most often, and how visitors find us. This insight allows us to continuously improve the site. Analytics cookies are only set after you have given your consent. Google Tag Manager — which loads the scripts below — is activated only once your consent has been obtained.

Hotjar additionally captures session recordings: an anonymised playback of mouse movement, scrolling and clicks on the pages you visit. This happens only after you have given your consent. What you type into forms is masked and is not recorded — name, email address, phone number and your message are unreadable in the recording. We use these recordings to see where visitors get stuck, not to follow individual people.

5. What we do not use

Medi-Invest does not place advertising cookies, social media cookies, or tracking pixels from advertising networks. There is no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, and no comparable technology active on our website.

Our fonts are self-hosted. No requests are sent to Google Fonts or any other external font service. This protects your privacy by preventing your IP address from being automatically transmitted to those external servers.

6. Other technologies (no cookies)

In addition to cookies, we use a limited number of other technologies that place no cookies:

  • Vercel Analytics— measures Core Web Vitals and page performance. No cookies are placed, no personal data is processed, and no consent is required. Data is reported in aggregate form only.
  • Sentry— detects technical errors and exceptions on the website. No cookies are placed. When an error occurs, Sentry may capture technical context including your IP address and the affected URL, solely for the purpose of diagnosing the fault.

7. How to manage cookies

Via the website’s cookie preferences

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Changes take effect immediately; analytics scripts will not be loaded until you give your consent again.

Via your browser settings

You can also manage, block, or delete cookies through your browser’s settings. Please refer to your browser’s help page:

Please note: if you block necessary cookies through your browser settings, the website may not function correctly. In particular, your cookie preferences will not be remembered between visits.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy periodically, for example when we introduce new services or when legislation changes. The date at the top of this document indicates when the most recent version was published. We recommend checking this page regularly.
