The handPICO® is a picosecond laser handpiece that combines the 1064 and 532 nm wavelengths with nanosecond and picosecond technology in a single system. As the world's first microfractional picosecond laser handpiece, the handPICO® was developed for treating pigmented lesions, tattoos and skin quality. Thanks to the optional fractional micro-lens array, the handpiece also supports resurfacing and the treatment of melasma.
The ultra-short picosecond pulses create a photomechanical effect that fragments pigment particles precisely, without excessive thermal load on the surrounding tissue. Treatments can therefore be carried out comfortably with minimal downtime, while at the same time stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin for skin rejuvenation.
